Way Down Yonder Legacy Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the culinary heritage of New Orleans while expanding access to education, workforce training, and opportunity.

Founded by mother and daughter team Yonder Gordon and Yonder Miller, the Foundation is rooted in family tradition, lived experience, and a shared belief that culture can serve as a pathway to empowerment.

We use food and hospitality as tools for connection and learning, creating hands-on training experiences that prepare individuals for careers, entrepreneurship, and long-term economic mobility.

Our mission is simple:
preserve culture, build skills, and create opportunity for the next generation.
